To all our friends at Saturday greyhound School Boogie was taken poorly this afternoon, we rushed her to the vets as we thought she'd had a stroke. They've done a scan and she has a cancerous mass in her abdomen. They're going to do another scan to see if its spread if it hasn't they're going to try surgery if it has well .........we're just waiting for a phone call :(

22.00 Boogie has survived the surgery, tho she lost a lot of blood, the vet has removed her spleen which had ruptured due to the size of the tumour inside. She's been taken to intensive care. The vet said it looks an agressive form of cancer, the spleen and tumour will be sent for tests. Depending on the results we may be lucky and the cancer was contained within the spleen and hasn't spread, if not she may have another 6 months...........We just need her to get through the night........

23.45 Had an update from the IT unit. "Boogie has had major surgery, and come round from the anaesthetic, still in shock, not as yet responding to iv fluids may have to have a blood transfusion......still a very poorly girl, Not out of the woods yet" ...........I've got to call in an hour, its going to be a long night.......come on Boogie you can do it x x x
