Following on from the success of the last three years, the RGT's 'Great Greyhound Gathering 2010' will be held on Saturday 18th September 2010 at Nottingham Horseracing Course, Colwick Park, NG2 4BE. Last year an estimated 3000 people and upwards of 800 dogs (mainly greyhounds, though other breeds welcome) came along for the family fun day out to meet greyhound lovers from all over the country. We will be following a similar format to previous years with a Companion Dog Show, including a special class to find the 'Best Black Greyhound' and culminating in one greyhound being chosen as 'RGT Retired Greyhound of the Year'. There will be something for all the family, with Children's Entertainment, our popular Archery Competition, and a 'Shopping Alley' of traders and RGT branches. Lunchtime entertainment will include a parade of P.A.T. greyhounds, and a Dog Display Team, and we will be joined by the winner of the RGT's Ultimate Dog Coat Competition. Gates open to the public at 9.00 a.m. For further information contact Kim Holmes on marlincos27@btinternet.com or 0787 968 6563

We had a lovely day out, so many greys and not a spot of bother (well Reubes tried to "kiss" a collie- luckly the other dog backed off quick smart & Reubes was told "NO", kept a close check on him for the rest of the day, no more toruble - whew). So many things to buy, Reubes fav was the Liver Cake! The Dog Show was lovely, just wish my 4 yr old daughter would have settled so I could have watched more. Sweep looked amazing in the ring, I got a few pics but they're not great as I was too far back. All in all, great day so I'm really looking forward to Daybreaks Show in Oct. luv t
