Hi Lady Victoria. Were the mackerel cakes the ones in little paw-print cupcake cases? If they were, I baked them. They're actually out of the A la Bark baking book, which I got from the kennels (in the book as sardine sponge cake, but I didn't have sardines! I'll make sure to have another batch made for the next event. Glad Twiggy and Stan enjoyed them. Mand x

I'm wacked!! What a great day, so lovely to see so many people there. I apologise to all those men that I "persuaded" to buy one of Ina's lovely shortbread hearts and cakes, but it all goes to a good cause and you know you will be in the good books now on valentines day :)

Thank you to everyone who came and helped eat the mountain of food i prepared for today....it saved me taking it all the way back to Derby and it has helped raise funds for the three lovely irish girls...a big thank you also to Bob Shannon who very kindly let me take over his own kitchen so i could get everything hot in time....great day all round...love and thanks ...Ina xxx

WOW! What a fabulous day we had! I am so grateful to everyone who came along to support us and also to all the volunteers who made it possible. We made £741 and this is all going towards the 3 girls who came in direct from Ireland after I answered an appeal to take them.

Had a lovely time today met some old friends and the food was great.
Millie also came home stuffed with treats.
Hopefully lots of money was raised to help those poor little mites rescued from Ireland. If it wasn't for the rehomiing centres and the generousity of people attending the fund raising functions they would have a bleak future.

We had a lovely time visiting this afternoon, so busy it was brill!! Lots of money raised I hope.

I hope everyone can come along and support us today. We are raising money to pay for the treatment of Hope, Lizzie and Faith who arrived from Ireland after an appeal to take them.

We have a fabulous tombola, silent auction, and mouthwatering food prepared by Ina - jacket potatos, chillie wraps etc etc along with fantastic cakes, cookies, etc.

We also have Alison from Din Dins Holistic Kitchen coming from London with samples and lots of nutritional advice.

We have some fabulous valentines mugs - a perfect gift for someone you love for valentines day!

Make sure you all arrive hungry tomorrow. I've been in the kitchen all morning baking some lovely Valentine inspired cakes for tomorrow. I've also made some gooey cookies and heart-shaped biscuits that you can save for later and take away with you. Oh and not forgetting an extra special batch of fishy cupcakes for the real love of your life - your Grey of course!!!! Even you haven't got a Grey, come along. There will be plenty of yummy food and the weather-man even says its going to be warmer tomorrow. See you there! Mand x

I can definitely recommend Ina's shortbread hearts, like everything Ina makes they are delicious!
