Mell Square Roadshow
Saturday 09 Mar 2013
Updated: Monday 04 Mar
Our Greyhound Awareness Roadshow will run from 9.00am until 4.00pm. We are always very popular here as our rehoming centre Daybreaks Kennels are just a short drive away. Come and meet our delightful greys and our dedicated team of volunteers. for details telephone Pam 07714574527 or email at If you have had a greyhound from us and would like to help at this roadshow please contact Pam above.
If you are thinking about adopting a greyhound there will be plenty of information available.
Our 'Daybreaks Kennels' of Solihull are about 5 minutes drive away by car. Pop along for a visit to see the greyhounds available for homing.
We pride ourselves for our after care service. We have a dedicated team of experienced volunteers who will be at the end of a phone for advice whilst your greyhound settles in to its new home.
We are restricted to the number of greyhounds we can have at our roadshows and the
pre- arranged greys who are here are covered by our insurance. Please can we ask you not to bring your own grey along if you are intending to visit us.
Many Thanks Pam

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself Nic. I helped on the afternoon shift with my boy Gent, so we must have missed meeting you. Hopefully meet you next time. Helping out with the roadshows are great fun. You meet people who are interested in knowing more about Greyhounds generally and also people who just want to fuss of our beautiful dogs. Either way, I've met some lovely people when I've helped out and it feels good giving something back to Daybreaks. Can't deny how nice it feels too when people tell you how gorgeous your dog is, but then we all know that already! If anyone feels like giving a couple of hours of their time to help on a roadshow, I'm sure the organisers would be delighted to hear from you. Just check out who is leading the roadshow from the events page and get in touch. Mand x

Just wanted to say how much I enoyed spending time in Solihull Mell Square today talking to folk about the Greys. Dylan and Janey were fussed and stroked the whole time and enjoyed the attention. It was also lovely to meet the other volunteers who are all a such great friendly bunch. I will definitely put my name down again for another event. By the way, sorry about Dylan peeing in the collection bucket..... I think he just wanted to make a donation! Nic x

Hi Nic. Glad you enjoyed it and sorry I missed you as well. Mell Square is always a great venue and attracts lots of interest. Lola and I were there in the afternoon, but normally Paul would be there as well with Lena but he was at Crufts so I had to leave her at home :( When Pam told me there were some new volunteers with 2 lovely brindles, one of which had been rehomed recently and one a while ago I did wonder if it was you! Hope you decide to do some more roadshows.....Linda & Lola x
