A very belated thank you for having me to Ruth and Robbie. Friday night's sleepover was one of the quieter nights (thanks to Ray giving Sheldon a little holiday!) and it was good fun, despite the dawn chorus!
A massive well done to Ruth and Robbie who did the full stint - special credit to Ruth who even managed to wash her hair in the dog bath.
Always pleased to be involved with the kennels - the dogs give us their owners such joy - and it's great to be able to do something to help find other dogs some sofas.
PS Cookie did watch me do the walk of shame the next morning and sniffed me with disgust for being unfaithful to her with Dolly!

Well done to everyone....fantastic news about the money raised. We had a lovely time at the party on Saturday, even the sun came out! xx

What we did was easy compared to Ruth and all her helpers did and do.

Happy Birthday to Daybreak and we wish you all and of course not forgetting the hounds many more.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments - it was great to arrive back home last night. I am over the moon at the amount we have raised - grateful thanks to everyone who sponsored us all or supported the open day and very special thanks to Roy and Michelle for helping me hit the target too. Sorry - I had to mention you and hope you don't mind.....

I am putting all the fabulous volunteers who helped take part as 'homed' now and I am grateful to them all for giving up a night to sleep at Daybreaks. I can now get the wheels into motion for the rest of the renovation work to commence and I am so excited as the kennels are really starting to look fabulous.

Special thanks also go to Bob Shannon who owns the kennels for letting us take over his garden for the open day and very special thanks to my wonderful Husband Robbie who endured the sleepover with me and his continual support with everything I do x He is amazing x

Well done to ruth and all the volunteers at daybreaks for a very busy week, you all have done such an amazing job, popped in to the kennels today and everyone has said that it was worth every minute. congratulatuions .xxxx

I am so proud to be part of such a great "family". Everyone at Daybreaks work as a team and do it for their love of our Greys, oh and Ruth of course, what a brilliant day yesterday the atmosphere was great, lots of laughter and a great way to end the 6 night sleepover. I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Massive thanks to Emma, Jenni, Jill, Ina, Fiona and Jayne who endured a night each at Daybreaks for the sponsored sleepover. A fabulous amount has been raised by each of them and I am so grateful to them for their dedication in joining Robbie and I with this sponsored event to raise money to improve Daybreaks. Robbie and I are shattered after being here for a week continuously and can't wait to get home and back to normal!!!!

Bit of a shame that none of the guests are reserved, assume even their families are not keen to have them back home. LOL

The best thing last night was having a call at nearly midnight to say Berry, who had gone missing, was home and safe.

It has been a very unsettled night again sadly but understandable because of the awful storms we had yesterday. I have just popped home for the first time in a week to have a proper shower and I am now back off to the kennels ready for a busy day setting up for the open day tomorrow. Let's hope the weather improves.....

just got back home after the first night's sleepover and i have to say that i slept really very well, all houndies were quiet and did not stir until we got up in the morning....have fun tonight Jill ....xxxx

What a fantastic buzzing day I have had! We had a team of volunteers from Virgin Media come along to volunteer for the day. They helped with the arrival of Marty and Ozzy and the dogs all had extra TLC the whole day.

Our kennel is made up and Robbie and I are ready for our first night of our sleepover along with tonight's sleepover guest Ina.

So pleased it has got a little warmer for you all, have fun!! xx

Hi Deb and Mand,Gent&Emily - all the nights are booked at Hotel Daybreaks! Accompanying Robbie and I throughout the our week's stay, we have Ina on Monday, Jill on Tuesday, Emma on Wednesday, Fiona on Thursday, Jenni on Friday and Kerry on Saturday. Anyone is welcome to come along and feed us anything through the bars each evening and to check we are really stopping there!! We will have refreshments for our visitors so please feel free to pop along any evening..... lights out by 10.30pm tho! :-)

Would you like any visitors to pop treats through the bars and let you out to the toilet or do you need another sleepover buddy if so let me know.
