Walk at Sutton Park
Sunday 19 May 2013
Updated: Friday 17 May
Come along and join us for a walk around Sutton Park.
We start at the Banners Gate Entrance, Banner's Gate Road, Chester Road corner. B73 6TX
10.30am meet for an 11am start
You are welcome to come along even if you don't own a greyhound, or if you are interested in finding out more about adopting one. We generally have a good turn out and you are welcome to walk along side anyone to find out more about our breed.
At the end of the walk (for a donation) you can enjoy Coffee,Tea or Squash and cakes. RGT Merchandise will be available for sale. We will also have a raffle. Donations of gifts as prizes are always welcome
"Paula's Nail Bar" will be with us to clip any doggy nails that need attention. Suggested minimum donation £1.00 per paw. Even the most nervous dogs seem to relax for Paula.
All money raised on the day from refreshments, nail clipping and raffle goes to the Perry Barr RGT to fund essential vets bills, food and kennelling costs.
If you are interested in helping out at this event, selling raffle tickets, serving refreshments or making cakes, please give Sam a call.
Please come and join us for our walk and a chat.

New addition to this walk:
Paul will be at the walk (Canine Massage therapist) providing free muscular health checks for the greys. If you are worried about anything with your grey then a check over from Paul could help to see if massage might be able to assist

What a great day for a walk, the sun was shining but it didn't get too hot. Many thanks to Ian, Sandra, Hilary, for all your help, Sally for the water flasks and everyone who kindly donated raffle prizes or cakes. As ever a big thank you to Paula for cutting so many claws and helping raise our total of £467. Thanks to everyone who came and made it a great morning. Si & Sam

I will be doing muscular health checks at the walk tomorrow so if you feel your greyhound is:
suddenly getting old,
stiff when they get up,
struggling to get up/down stairs,
twitching when you stroke along their back
or you just want to get them checked over to see if there are any muscle problems brewing then bring them along, the check only takes a couple of minutes. Paul.

Can't wait for Sunday. At the last one I only dreamed of having my own greyhound ( and didn't think for a minute that Pete would ever let me have one) and now I've got the fabulous Dingo, who I love to bits.
