How to help
There are many ways that you can help Perry Barr RGT, many of which are shown below. However, we are always looking for new ideas for fundraising. Give me a call if you would like to get involved in any way. Ruth (Daybreaks Kennels Manager) 0121 782 7702
Quick and easy FREE ways to help:
Easy Fundraising
Christmas shopping a bind? Go online and do it through easyfundraising and raise money for Perry Barr Retired Greyhound Trust at the same time! All the big retail names donate, M&S, Argos, John Lewis, Amazon and Ebay are on there too. Follow this link to learn more about easy fundraising.
Even easier, install the easy fundraising find and remind, and it will prompt you to use the service all the time, just register and then download - http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/find-and-remind/
Recycling Mobile phones and printer cartridges
We are registered with Recycle 4 Charity for printer cartridge and mobile phone recycling. If you require envelopes to send items off, please contact sam.allin@rgtperrybarr.co.uk and she will arrange to get a supply of envelopes to you.
Sorry, no Epson or Kodak cartridges. But please dig out those old mobile phones and they could earn up to £70!
Unwanted blankets and Duvets
We are always looking for unwanted blankets, towels and duvets to help keep the dogs cosy and warm. If you have any unwanted ones that you can spare, please bring them along to the kennels and we will give them a new home!. It will help if you can phone before bring any along, just to make sure there is plenty of free space.
Other things you can do to help:
Max's Mission
A great way to help on a regular basis - go to Max's page
50-50 Club
Another great way to help on a regular basis - but with the chance to win as well! Go to the 50-50 page
Become a friend of the Kennels
You can become a friend of the kennels for a regular donation of at least £12 a year. As well as knowing you are doing something to help the greys in our care, you will also receive the Grapevine magazine. To become a friend of the kennels please complete this form
Donate Stamps
We can always make use of unused stamps to help cover our postage costs. If you are able to donate any 1st or 2nd class stamps please send them to: Daybreaks Kennels, 10 Coventry Road, Elmdon, Birmingham, B26 3QS
Make a donation
A donation is always welcome to help. Please use the paypal donate button below or send a cheque payable to Perry Barr RGT to R Boswell at the address above. Please do not send cash in the post, cash donations are welcome at the kennels or at any of our events and roadshows.
Just giving
Thinking of doing a sponsored event or just want to do something barmy to help raise funds, then please make use of the Perry Barr RGT Just giving site. For details of how to add your fund raising idea to the Just giving site, please contact Ruth on 0121 782 7702
Volunteer for events and road shows
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our regular road shows and other fund raising events. If you can help with events please get in touch with Pam Dewar and she will link you up with the team local to you. Pam can be contacted on: pamdewar@googlemail.com
Become a home checker
Already own a Greyhound and want to help finding new owners - home checking is a really important part of our re-homing procedure. If you would like to become a home checker please get in touch with Ruth at the kennels on 0121 782 7702
For the kennel dogs
If you would like to give the kennel dogs a treat then we always welcome tins of tuna (not in brine), pilchards or sardines (in tomato sauce), they love the taste as well as being good for them!
